In 2007, Mehmert Store Services was chosen to build a small grocery store to serve the condo residents of the John Hancock Building in downtown Chicago. The Hancock building is a mixed use building containing retail and offices on floors 1 through 41. The floors above this level are condos and support functions for the condos with the exception of the 95th floor, which is a restaurant open to the public.

In January 2009 Jeff Maurer contacted Mehmert Store Services regarding space that he had found in Madison, Wisconsin. This was an exciting property located within an urban setting. The store would be located within a mixed use development with over 1 million square feet of retail, luxury apartments and condos.

In 2007, Mehmert Store Services worked with Whole Foods on their new store to be located in Chicago's "South Loop." This was a 55,000 SF flagship store located on Canal & Roosevelt Streets on Chicago's Southside. The store was to be built as the anchor tenant within a new development known as the Southgate Market Mall. In this ambitious project, Mehmert was hired to fulfill the roles of project manager, equipment manager, and owner's representative.

The Burnstad family has operated a grocery store in Tomah
Wisconsin since 1944. Over the years they have had numerous locations throughout the central portion of the state. Currently they operate three stores in the following Wisconsin cities: Tomah, Black River Falls and Richland Center.
